The GAIA A08 is a compact and open-source air quality monitoring station that is ideal for indoor or outdoor use.

- RGB led for real-time visual Air Pollution indication.
- Connectivity via WIFI, with an internal flex antenna.
The GAIA A08 is suitable for indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring. The RGB LED provides immediate feedback on indoor air quality, and its mechanical structure ensures rain-proof operation when used outdoors.
The GAIA A08 station is compact, easy to install and comes with accessories.

The GAIA A08 is preloaded with the plug'n'play aqicn.org software: So you can just plug the power and the device will automatically report the data on to our maps. You will get access to our internal dashboard where you can check the real-time and historical data, as well as update the device coordinates on the map.
Open Source
For those who want to develop their own custom software, the GAIA 08 comes with open-source Arduino-compatible software, available at https://github.com/aqicn/gaia-a08-arduino.
The GAIA A08 allows you to flash your own firmware just by using the USB cable. And you can always reflash the original aqicn.org software (firmware.aqicn.org/gaia/updater)
The CPU is an Espressif ESP32-C3 with 4MB of Flash. The hardware mother board comes with an extension connection which provides means to connect external sensors (one free GPIO, two TX/RX GPIOSs, two 3.3V and 5V power and ground are available).
Flashing and console monitoring can be done via the USB port, meaning you do not need any additional serial TTL adapter.
The ready-to-use arduino software allows uploading the GAIA 08 real-time data onto the aqicn.org and waqi.info maps.
