GAIA A18
The Gaia A18 will be available starting from March 2023. Compared to the Gaia A12, the GAIA A18 can be operated "off-grid" using a battery and solar panel. It also contains an internal GPS, and long range (LoRA) radio.
Solar Power
Using the battery only, the GAIA A18 can be operated for 7 days without recharge. Using the solar panel, the box can recharge the battery within a few hours. This makes it possible to operate the station forever off-grid, provided you have at least one sunny day every week.

Enhanced Connectivity
The GAIA A18 can be operated using WIFI like the GAIA A12. But it also comes with "long-range" connectivity support (LoRA), allowing you to locate your station several hundreds of meter up to several kilometers from your network gateway (depending on the line of sight). The GAIA A18 comes with an external WIFI/LoRA gateway.
The GAIA A18 also contains an internal GPS sensor to make it easier to locate your remote stations.
